故事描述，广东十虎之一谭敏（傅声）之侄谭聪，在赌馆当巡场；一夜，十虎的徒弟及后人等四人，在赌场相聚时，旗人佟七（王力）带着前清官之子梁小虎突袭，把谭聪杀死。原由是十虎之黎仁昭（狄龙）、谭敏等，昔日曾把梁父杀死，以助反清义士蔡民义脱险。梁小虎遂决意与师叔佟七、佟八连手，杀死仍在世的十虎及其后人、传人，为父报仇……。Broke Edith murders and assumes the identity of her recently widowed, well-to-do twin sister Margaret, who had married Edith's former flame 20 years before.
