日本导演高桥伴明执导、奥田瑛二主演的新片《红玉》正式入围即将于2015年8月27日-9月7日在加拿大召开的第39届蒙特利尔国际电影节“世界电影关注单元”。 导演高桥与奥田是同龄人，该片描绘了中年男人面临“衰老”与“性”的现实问题，为了追求更完美的人生而为之努力的故事。奥田饰演身兼大学教师与电影导演双重身份的主人公时田修次。除了奥田以外，在京都造形艺术大学学习的新生代演员们，以及柄本佑、高桥惠子等实力派影星都将联袂出演。。Two high level scuba-divers and long-time friends, Don and Dave, broke a world record for depth in the Boesmansgat cave in South Africa. It would take them 15 minutes to reach the bottom, but 12 hours to surface. Having reached the bottom, against all odds, they find a body. They decide to come back and retrieve it.
